void validateUsernameAndPassword(String username,
                                 String password)
                                 throws InputValidationException

Validates the specified username and password.

Parameters:

username - the username to be validated.

password - the password to be validated.

Throws:

InputValidationException - if the validation process considers the username and/or the password invalid.
